The only good cat for a person with a cat allergy is a hairless cat, and yes, they are expensive. Unless this person has actually asked you for a cat, don’t get them one. They don’t want it.

Take a look at Wikipedia:

My husband is officially allergic to cats (it came up on his allergy test), but we have three cats – they’re not specific breeds, just regular ol’ cats. He just has to use allergy medication daily, and we have a really good central air system in the house. He’s had cats for many years, and he’s been alright.
P.S. A hairless cat is not necessarily a better solution, as the allergies are not triggered by fur.

A hairless one. But don’t expect to find a cheap one. My sister has two of them. They were $600.00 or $700.00 each.

You have only two choices, hairless or hypoallergenic, either way it’s going to cost you.

a stuffed one. A hairless cat won’t work becasue allergies are from the saliva of the cat not the fur. Hairless cats lilck their skin and they make “gooey ball” similar to boogers. That get all over the house. They are gross animals. My husband had one before I met him and he got rid of it because I hated it and he did too.
