Cat Allergies Treatment

What should I do? I told him I’m willing to bathe the cat, buy allerpet, vacumn like crazy and keep the cat out of the whole upstairs of the house. We had a cat for 3 years who died (she was very old and I had her since I was a teenager but he only lived with her for 3 years with me) and his allergies were not so bad. He had bad days but we dont’ know if that was because of the cat or because of his other allergies.

My friend andI have recently moved into an apartment that had inside cats and at first her allergies were really bad but are begining to lighten up. Will she get so used to them that they apear to be gone or will they come back later?

My wife wants us to adopt/rescue a kitten or two. We have two dogs. She was highly allergic to cats as a child. Is that something that stays with you into adulthood or can you outgrow allergies?

What do you know about cat allergies? Is it the dander? Is it because it was an outdoor/indoor cat? We are looking for just an indoor cat?
