Cat Allergies Treatment

I am wondering if these allergies stay with me for my entire life and if there is any way to test or find out if i still have these allergies.

i know that golden retrievers are one of the highest shedding dogs, so any tips on what i can do to reduce the shedding or the symptoms of my allergy

What should I do? I told him I’m willing to bathe the cat, buy allerpet, vacumn like crazy and keep the cat out of the whole upstairs of the house. We had a cat for 3 years who died (she was very old and I had her since I was a teenager but he only lived with her for 3 years with me) and his allergies were not so bad. He had bad days but we dont’ know if that was because of the cat or because of his other allergies.

By best I mean the strongest. And I don’t need an explanation for what I’m allergic to. I know already.

And if I bathed my cat once a month, take medication, and got an air purifier, would my allergies go away? (With a shorthaired cat?)

I can pet my neighbour’s cat for a short time and stay in their house but I would have to wash my hands immediately after petting the cat.
