Cat Allergies Treatment

Over the counter would be ideal.

I want something friendly and cute. Something you can interact with? Not fish.

My cat’s allergies have cleared up when we put her on a duck/pea diet. Does anyone know of a treat we can feed her?

also ,are rabbits usually mroe gentle than cats? i mean cats are often scratchers and biters(not all but a lot), and u cannot leave them alone for very logn tiem periods, so is a rabbit a more friendly, gentler choice? can they also be friendly to humasn also? also, is it better to get it as a bunny? and how will i knwo if the rabbit is right for me?

My cat has allergies to food and i need to find a good brand of lamb and rice cat food. Something that doesnt have a lot of hidden ingredients, but i cant find anything at petsmart or petco.

My hands are unfortunately, starting to feel red, dry and itchy, every time, I pet my cat.

And how often should the carpets be shampooed? My husband is fine with the cat at his parents when he lived there, who has very long glossy fur. We just got married and moved to a townhome with more carpet cover than his parent’s house. Any pet lovers with allergies have any recommendations? Obviously we will be keeping any cat/cats out of the bedroom, and none of the furniture is cloth (except for the couch, which we will get a slip cover for so I can just pop it in the wash to clean it, and eventually get a leather couch instead). We already have a great vacuum (Eureka with an enclosed Hepa filter, was very highly rated on consumer reports for pet fur/dander). I’m going to get a very good pet brush too and brush our future cat/cats everyday (we want up to 2 cats, but will probably start with one just to see). We plan on getting short hairs with courser coats since I heard that is better for allergies. Just so you know what we have though of in addition to cleaning carpets.

I’m staying at my girlfriends house for a week and a half and she has 2 cats. I have minor allergies…runny rose, itchy eyes, etc.

I have been allergic to cats all my life. I also have other allergies. Every allergy medication i have tried works for all of my allegies except for the cat allergy. Every weekend i am over my boyfriend’s house and i suffer from the moment i walk in the door. I have been on every prescription allergy pill you can think of. Right now i am on Clartin D and it works great for every other allergy. I wish it worked on the cat allergy!! If someone can recommend something that might help i would appreciate it.
