My vet says my cat may be allergic to her cat food.

My cat’s allergies have cleared up when we put her on a duck/pea diet. Does anyone know of a treat we can feed her?

She has been superb until recently. She started scratching again in the same spots (between her eyes and ears) and I’m worried that she could have another allergy again. Is this possible or could this just be allergies from the outdoors. She’s an indoor cat but recently with the nice weather we’ve had the windows up a lot. Any suggestions? We’re planning on going for her yearly check up next weekend, but would like some ideas inbetween to make sure she’s ok.

Thank you so much!

Our cat has a food allergy and I’m going to switch her to Duck & Pea limited ingredient food. She gets swelling and ulcers on her lips & mouth and our vet keeps insisting we keep her on this iams low residue food. It’s overpriced, has awful ingredients and isn’t helping her allergies after months.

Anyway can I switch her food all at once or do I have to do it slowly. If so, how slowly? Thanks.
Troublesniffer: Natural Balance Duck & Pea is what I’m switching her to. I’ll do it over a week or so and hopefully things will improve.

And she has been tested for everything under the sun and doesn’t have any diseases that I know of.
Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex or “rodent ulcer” is what she supposedly has. Her chin is swollen right now. But honestly we’re not sure if it’s food allergies or contact allergies from something in the house. The vet won’t do an allergy test on her yet. She’s 8 months old…

I was sure it was ringworm as my cat had giant bald circular bald patches near her face and on top her head. It seemed to spread and I never saw her scratching but it was red. The vet “thinks” it’s food allergies. After spending $90 I was told to switch back to the food she used to be on and seemed to have no problem with.

I’ve been feeding my cats Special Kitty Urinary Tract dry food. The vet said one of my cats has allergies and that I should try changing his food. I’m looking for one that will be good for urinary tract infections and allergies both.

My cat has a very bad and neurotic habbit of scratching spots on his body until they become raw and bleeding. Usually it’s behind his neck, or in front of his ear. His is a indoor healthy kitty (no fleas!). My vet thought it was ringworm at first, but our cat tested negative. My vet mentioned that sometimes it’s an indication of food allergies. Does anyone know much about food allergies in cats? He is being fed perscription diet cat food r/d to help him maintain a healthy weight. Any info, including links, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
