I own two 8 year old cats and 2 years ago I had obtained a slight cat allergy to them. I have recently rescued a new kitten (he is currently 2 and 1/2 months old) and have not had any sort of allergic reaction to him. I know that allergies (especially pet ones) can come on at any time of your life, but since I already have allergies to cats, I was just wondering if the allergies will come as he gets older or if I am just not allergic to him at all.
Thanks!

So I just moved into a new apartment and my roommate has a little kitchen which I love, but makes me constantly sneeze. I’m already taking one allergy pill, allegra I think it is, but is there anything else we could do to make it more comfortable to live for me?

She has been superb until recently. She started scratching again in the same spots (between her eyes and ears) and I’m worried that she could have another allergy again. Is this possible or could this just be allergies from the outdoors. She’s an indoor cat but recently with the nice weather we’ve had the windows up a lot. Any suggestions? We’re planning on going for her yearly check up next weekend, but would like some ideas inbetween to make sure she’s ok.
Thank you so much!

I want to get my daughter a kitten…dogs arent allowed at my apartment and i am interested in kittens yet in the past i’ve had allergies to cats, but recently (like within the past couple years) ive been around cats and have had no problems…is there any specific breed that I should stick with that may be less allergenic than others? Also how can I minimize the effect so that if i do have allergies it is controllable…basically i just need the 411 on getting a kitten…
thanks!

I’m allergic to my boyfriend’s cat. If I pet her and touch my face, I get itchy and red blotches appear. I love his cat and wish I could cuddle with her without having to deal with these symptoms. Are there any home remedies to fix this problem? And don’t give me some stupid answer like “don’t pet the cat.”
By the way, I’m also really tired of having to wash my hands after petting her.

This may be a stupid question but is there anything that can be done to cat allergies? My asthmatic boyfriend is allergic but i really want a kitten. He also used to be allergic to dogs but isnt anymore… could he possibly grow out of his allergy to cats as well? Or would it be manageable if i bathed it often?

I have mild cat allergies and a friend told me about a simple solution that didn’t involve medication. I forgot what it was though. Does anyone have any natural remedies to allergies?
